The Lucky Duckies is a “premium” portuguese band debuted on April 25, 1987 by singer-songwriter Marco António. The band is originally called Os Promusica.
The band began to have great repercussions in 1989, when the founder of the project, with new musicians, created the new name that would become definitive.
It’s television debut took place in 1987 on the program Estúdio 4 on RTP1, presented by Luís Pereira de Sousa. Inspired by artists from the 1950s and early 1960s, The Lucky Duckies were influenced by singers such as Elvis Presley, Dean Martin, member of the Rat Pack, Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr..

Across the country at events, Festivals, Municipal Parties, the band began by drawing the attention of producers and businessmen from all over the world to their music.
From 1990, the band is catapulted abroad, when they start to perform on cruises around the world. They have gradually stepped onto the best stages in the country, highlighting the 2010 Motos de Faro rally, several concerts on stage 4 of Expo’98, the CCB, Casa da Música in Porto, CAE in Figueira da Foz, and the main casinos in the Iberian Peninsula, Europe and Macau and travel through different areas including Kazakhstan.

They started by paying tribute to the great classics of Rock’n’Roll, but quickly immersed themselves in a whole musical nostalgia influenced by the most popular international styles between the 20’s and the 60’s, such as swing jazz, Blues, Bossanova, Rock’N’Roll and classics of Portuguese music.
In 2002, the entrance of vocalist Cláudia Faria, the group’s female voice, brings a different aesthetic to the band, adding typically feminine themes of those times. In 2003 female singer Claudia Faria married Marco.

The band achieved success with the album Glamor & Nostalgia – Part One in October 2010 and they released Part Two in the first quarter of 2013. These discs feature originals by the band composed with retro sound and arrangements.

The band popularity and fame has been growing naturally and gradually by having hundreds of television appearances in these 30 years of their career, and an ever-increasing number of ever-increasingly stepped stages, all over the world.
Despite the fact that the band is based in the Municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, District of Lisbon, they say that Globo is their hometown.
The region of Ribatejo and Alto Tejo, voted the name “The LUCKY DUCKIES” for Personality of the Year in the Area of Culture 2013. Secretary of State for Culture.
In previous editions it was given to other fellow artists such as Ana Moura, Cristina Branco, José Cid, Quinta do Bill and Pedro Barroso.
In 2012 this band had already been distinguished by RDP and RTP with the International Prestige Career Award, on the occasion of the group’s 25-year career.

In 2017 they celebrate the start of their 30 Years Tour, by travelling throughout the country and outside Portugal.
The band also release their new album “Os Patinhos Sortudos na Língua de Camões”, entirely in Portuguese with an original theme, which gives the name to the album “Na Língua de Camões” and classics in Portuguese.
